Shortly after graduating from the Fashion Institute of design and Merchandising, Melissa Kearns, the creator, and designer of CaliLuna Designs, first opened Caliluna as an Etsy shop in 2016, selling unique clothing for toddler girls.

CaliLuna was inspired by the tropical Islands with summers that last all year round.

After a career in graphic design, as the Lead Graphic Designer for a marketing company and other Freelance opportunities, Caliluna was then directed towards selling digital illustrations and decals, and offered graphic design services. 

"I hope to return making clothing again, and collaborate both graphic design and fashion design in the future. Please know that each time a purchase is made, I get a little closer to accomplishing that dream!" - Melissa

Caliluna Designs helps small business owners/influencers express their brand/identity in a visual way that brings their uniqueness to life.

When not working, Melissa enjoys crafts, fashion, yoga, Netflix, and spending time with my husband (Justin) and dog (Ruca).

 

Before Caliluna Melissa studied fashion design at the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising as well as earned a business degree from Sam Houston State University.

During school, she worked at several clothing retail companies, a dance studio, a small apparel production company, and then became a full-time graphic designer for a marketing company.

​

She now focuses on Caliluna Designs while also works as a stylist for Stitch Fix.
